The maps illustrate how urban design for a citizen area has changed over a year period between 1986 and the present.
Overvall, the residential space was modernised. Agricultural animals and land were displaced for the buildings of roads and architecture features. Moreover, the carbon footprints extended as roads were extended and more trees were cut down.
Firstly, agricultural features started to disappear. In 1986, cows were set free near the River Stoke and the East side, whereas nowadays, they are no longer living here. The farmland could be seen at the West and the East side of the main road, but nowadays, people built new roads and houses, replacing farms.
Secondly, the place was industrialised. There used to be only a few residents in the North. However, to this present, residential livings are growing to the South, and new constructions were planned out to extend the traffic ways. Besides, the primary school was established with new areas, although the other properties like the post office or the bridge in the North remained unchanged. On the other hand, shops were demolished.
