Process 2
The diagram describes how wasted glass bottles are recycled.
Overall, the process comprises a number of stages, beginning with collecting unused bottles and ending with the distribution of the recycling product to shops and supermarkets.
At the beginning of the process, bottles are collected, gathered in a collection point and then transported to the glass factory where the procedure of recycling them takes place. At stage 2, those bottles are washed with high pressure water to remove impurities before being categorized into different types ( clear, green and brown ). Next, after being transported to the factory, these bottles are broken into pieces and then melted in furnace at 600 to 800 in order to create new liquid glass and recycled one.
The process continues with new and recycled liquid being shaped in mold. Subsequently, new bottles are produced and dispatched to supermarkets where they are ready for sale.
