You are having a party and want to invite your friend from a different city.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

Give directions on how to get to the venue
Suggest how you can accommodate him/her
Dear John,
I am writing to invite you to a party that I have organized for third of December at my place.
Since it has been a year, we have not had a chance to meet each other. I have arranged a party on the occasion of New Year's eve. We finally can have a merry time and you will also get to see the new house where I have been shifted.
So, I will not hear no for an answer. My location is 11149 Sheppard Ave East, Agincourt, Ontario. Do not worry, the travel is easy you just have to board a go train at Rouge Hill station and get down at Agincourt. Once you deboard give me a call, and I will come to pick you up.
Furthermore, please plan and come for a winter holiday week, we can do fun activities and you can stay with me as my roommate will be out of town for 2 weeks. Therefore, please let me know.
I cannot wait to hear from you.
Warm regards,
Mona
