The line graph illustrate the percentages of voyagers who use distintive means on transport in a particular nation between 1989 to 2009.
Overall, an upward trend is recorded in both rail and coach’s transportation rate. On the other hand, air travel witnessed a downgrade in usage rate. With car and ferry, their popularity as means of transport during this recorded time span from 1989 to 2009 fluctuated.
Recorded in 1989, barely any travelers to that specific country didn’t bat an eyelid for ferry as a mean of transport with an usage rate below 5%. In the mean time, Tourist’s interest with coach is below 10%, approximately 9%. However, we see that railway’s transportation alongside with air transportation both have 34% and 38% at tourist’s usage rate respectively. The highest type of transportation in 1989 in that country is car with an estimated usage rate at 50%.
After 1989, ferry as a transportation reached its peak with 12% of tourists using it before falling down to its usage rate in 1999 in 2009, being 8%. Coach’s usage rate, however, rose from 9% to 26%. Unlike coach’s usage rate, which had an upward trend, air transportation’s rate of utilization decreased from 38% to 22% in 2009, being its lowest in the past years. Whereas air transportation had a downward trend, the percentages of voyagers that uses rail transportation grow, gradually reach almost 60% of use rate. Car’s usage rate as transportation for travelers to that respective country, however, fluctuated as it eventually take 52% rate of utilization for travelling for tourists in 2009.
To summarise, both rail and coach had an upward trend, air transportation had a downward trend while car and ferry’s usage rate fluctuated.
