The maps illustrate how the ground floor of a library had changed from 2001 to2009.
Overall, the layout had undergone many substantial developments over 8 years, especially the appearance of many areas for different kinds of books.
Regarding the left corner of the map, there were history book shelves and self-help book shelves put in 2001, before being divided into five smaller areas including history, fiction, self-help, kitchen, economics and laws in 2009. In 2001, an area for fiction books was arranged on the top of the map, which was extended twice and replaced by children’s books and a children’s area was designed opposite to that in the next 8 years.
Looking to another side of the map, shelves for newspaper and periodicals were converted to films and DVDs. Opposite to it, computers appeared and eight tables were changed to four longer tables in 2009. Lastly, the librarian’s desk and stairs remained unchanged over 8 years.
