What are your strengths and difficulties in learning English?
Having the fortune of experiencing English education quite early in life, I have figured out my personal strengths and obstacles in learning this well-known language.
On the one hand, my strengths in English varies in different aspects. Initially, imitation skill is one of the primary advantageous abilities that I possess. In details, I acknowledge that the presence of my imitation skill helps me create the exact sound I desire to mimic, leading me to pronounce words accurately. Thus, this ability boosts the clarity and fluency of my English speeches efficiently. In addition, analyzing skill also plays an outstanding part in my English learning journey. Specifically, by constantly analyzing English words and structures, I have achieved the ability to flexibly and effectively utilizing them. As a result, I feel the confidence in my writings and other assignments required creativity and depth.
Nevertheless, I still own a variety of weaknesses regarding English learning. First of all, organizing ideas while speaking is still an underdeveloped skill of mine that needs improvement. Normally, I come up with plenty of ideas while speaking English. Therefore, the overload of brainstorming leads to the information expressed being incoherent. Besides, my confidence in speaking is also limited. Not only in English but expressing my ideas and opinions in general makes my heart race quite often, resulting in the appearance of nervousness and shakiness in my voice. Though my ideas could be great, they are still overshadowed by the absence of my confidence.
In summary, when it comes learning English, while I possess some strong abilities, there are skills that still require further development.
