The following chart illustarates the results of a British survy taken i 2005 related to housing preferences of UK people.
The chart represents the proportion of British people's preferences with four different types of houses in UK in 2005.
Overall, majority British people preferred flat in London whereas detached and semi-detached houses were more popular among the people of Oxford and Cambridge. Terraced houses were the least popular types of houses among the UK citizens.
Looking in details, about 58% citizens of London preferred flats while the rest of housing types were accounted for lesser than 20% preferences.
Meanwhile, Oxford and Cambridge residents were preferred to live in detached or semi-detached houses. Detached houses were highly preferable by the citizens from Cambridge (about 35%) than Oxford residents (about 28%). In terms of semi-detached houses, both residents (Oxford and Cambridge) had recorded the same percentage of close to 30%. Flats and terraced houses were the least popular for both citizens.
It is apparent that, terraced houses were the least popular types of houses, which consisted of lesser than 20% preferences from all people in the UK.
