The bar Graph shows the popularity of the different sport groups in New Zealand among children and two genders in year 2002. Numbers are given in percentages. Overall, Netball is the most popular sport among girls, while the boys choose to play soccer.
Soccer is played by 25% of boys, whereas it is played by 6% of girls. Strikingly Netball is popular among girls, which is chosen by 25% of girls but it is only played by 2% of boys. Swimming is another sport which done by girls more than boys with 23% former and 14% letter one. On the other hand Cricket and marital arts are mostly played by boys with 13% and 12% respectively. The sports like tennis and basketball are roughly equally popular in both sexes around 5-10%. If we look at the sum of the both sexes, athletics is the least popular sport which is chosen only 7% of the children. A considerable number of boys, reaching almost 20% and 10% of girls, chosen activities which are not listed and categorized under Other category
