The illustration presents the actions which students of Autralia taken after graduating from the secondary school during 1980 to 2000.
Overall, the percentage of employed students after leaving schools increased substaintially while there was a plunge in the proportion of those choosing to continue their education over the 20-year period.
In 1980, the number of school leavers being employed counted for 40% before soaring by 10% in 1990. Afterwards, there was a slight acceleration from 50% to 55% of those hired after graduating from schools, which made this group overwhelmed the others.
Meanwhile, the group choosing to study further was the dominance with 50% in 1980. However, after 20 years, the percentage of this group sank down by 13% to 37%, which was mildly less than it was in 1990. Concurrently, although the proportion of unemployed group fluctuated around 10%, this group remained the minority one over the period.
