The pie charts compare the three main purposes of water consumption in six regions of the world. They are the industrial, agricultural and domestic sector. Overall, the largest proportion of water is allocated to agricultural in developing countries. However, the share of industrial is the largest rate of water usage in developed countries.
As being seen, for Europe, industrial use make up to 53% of the total water usage, followed by agricultural with 32% and domestic use on 15%. Similarly, for the industrial sector in north America accounted for 45% water while in the agricultural and the domestic section was responsible for 48% and 39% of the total.
On the other hand, more than 70% of water in Africa, Asia, and South America goes to agricultural, which the highest rate stood at 88% in Central Asia. However, water is spent less than 20% for the agricultural and domestic sector which people in South America used 19% of the total for domestic use, while industrial sector in South America was responsible for 10 % of the water consumption.
