The USA won around 2.250 medals, and 900 of them are gold medals, whereas those numbers for Soviet Union are 1000 medals in total and 400 goal medals. Meanwhile, the figures for the UK and France are significantly lower, at 700 and 600 medals respectively. The other two nations with more than 500 medals are Germany and Italy, both countries have around 550 medals each.
Hungary has around 480 medals, 10 more than Australia, while the number for Sweden is slightly higher, at 490 medals. At the same time, East Germany, Japan and China are three nations with the lowest number of medals in the graph. The figures for China and East Germany are almost identical, with slight differences in the numbers of silver and bronze medals.
