The given illustrations depict data about the money spent by British people on fast foods and also display the Average Consumption of three food items in a span of #0 years, ranging from 1970-1990.
Beginning with the bar graph, the average expenses for hamburger food items is the highest amongst above and middle income earners, at around 42 and 32 pences respectively, in contrast, low income groups spent a shade under 15 pences for the said items. Fish and chips expenditure is highest in the middle class at exactly 25 pences per week, the two income groups, above and low earners, avail the item at an approximate average of 17 pences per week. Lastly, pizza purchases is lowest for both middle and low income parties at about 12 and 7 pences accordingly, while with high earners, average purchases is at 20 pences within the same week period.
Moving on with the line graph, hamburger consumption solidly displays an upward trend registering at about 100 grammes in 1970 then catapulted to more than 500 grammes by 1990. Also illustrating an increase in consumption, pizzas, tallied to short of 300 grammes by 1990, compared to fish and chips that started at 300 grammes in 1970 then dipped with the lowest point at 200 grammes by 1985 before recovering and increasing to around 230 grammes by 1990.
In closing, hamburgers, in terms of consumption were favored by both above and middle income earners in Britain. In addition, in a span of 30 years the average consumptions for both hamburgers and pizzas exhibited an upward trend.
