It can be clearly seen that the rate of hamburger and fish & chips consumption grew significantly over the two decades, starting from 1970. On the contrary, there was a dramatic reduction in the usage of pizza in the first ten years while from this point to the end of the period given, that of pizza remained fairly stable.
In 1970, the figure for hamburger was the lowest, which was only about 50 grams per week. By contrast, the proportion of pizza which is consumed reached its highest peak of 300 grams per week, which was three times as much as that of fish & chips. Ten years later, while the amount of consumed pizza experienced a remarkable fall to nearly 200 grams per week, that of hamburger and fish & chips grew considerably, which were 80 grams and 160 grams per week. In the last year of the period given, the expenditure on fish & chips shoot up to 500 grams per week, which was the highest among all three categories. Meanwhile, that of hamburger kept climbing to about 300 grams per week and the utilization of pizza stayed fairly steady.
Overall, there is an upward trend in the usage of fish & chips and hamburger while that of pizza witnessed a substantial reduction.
