The two pie charts below show some employment patterns in Great Britain in 1992.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The pie charts illustrate the proportion of females and males who are divided into manual and non-manual in Great Britain in the year 1992.
Overall, as can be seen, while a greater percentage of women work in non-manual occupations than work in manual occupations, the reserve is true for man. Another visible trend is that general labourers account for the smallest rate of employment patterns in both genders.
In terms of manual jobs, both sexes employed in general labourers and other manual works had a similar proportion, at only from 1% to 2%. Likewise, 27% of women chose other manual works, compared to 26% of man. However, the percentage of females doing craft work was not nearly as popular as males, with 3% and 24% respectively.
In regard to non-manual occupations, the man had a tendency to choose managerial and professional positions, with 36% in the rate. The figure for women was lower, at 29%. The biggest difference between two sexes was in the employment of clerical-type positions, where females made up 31% of the workforce and males just 6%. The percentage of other non-manual work concerning women (9%) was 3% more than that in terms of man (6%).
