You recently saw an advertisement about helpers for children summer holiday camp. Write a letter to camp organizers and say:
– Describe the areas where you can help.
– Give the time period you are available.
– Ask some questions about the camp.
Dear Sir or Madame,
I have recently read an ad in a local newspaper that states help is needed in a summer holiday camp. I am a university student who pursues a master degree in psychology. Although my major field of interest is consultancy, I hope my person may be useful in your camp. For instance, I can work with the staff to help them to resolve their psychological issues and not to project those personal matters on children. Moreover, studying conflictology for two years could be useful as well. If there are any disputes or cases of violence among educators or progeny, I can help to solve them quickly and peacefully.
Unfortunately, I have to prepare to incoming examination but I will be available from first July to fifteenth August 2017. Five hours per weekday and two or three hours per weekend can be devoted to working in the camp. Ideally, I’d prefer to start my working day at 8:00 because my evenings are spent on preparation for the next semester.
I have some questions and hopefully, you don’t mind answering them. Primarily, how many children visit the camp every day and how many teachers and educators are employed. Furthermore, your prospect on the way how pupils should spend their leisure time is a very interesting question as well.
If my proposal is interesting for your institution, please contact me via e-mail.
Sincerely yours,
Eugene Dubinchuk.
