The reading and lecture both discuss the low trend of reading literature than before. While the reading provides three drawbags of low litreture trend, the professor refutes, by saying, none of these claims are conviencing.
First of all, the reading states that there are specific decline in reading literature because there are not something instead to give us intellectual stimulation. However, the speaker argues this notion by saying that not only the litreture books that povides us with intellectual stimulation but, there are many books like science, math, art have a high quality and these books can get us creative like literature books. So, there are tremendous books can stimulate our immagination.
In addition, the article shows that people lose their time watching movie or listening to a music instead of spend precious time in reading novel. On the other hand, the professor questions this idea by saying that this true that many people spending less time on reading literature book but, this is not mean that watching a good movie or listening to a good song is a waste of time. Moreover, she states that culture is changed by time. Also, she said that nowadays, we have many creative forms like litreture does.
Finally, the reading avers that there are many creative writers, but the trend of reading litreture decreased because of lack of audience. Nevertheless, the professor disagrees with this pointing out that we can not plame the reader due to the less support for litreture. In addition, this is maybe due to the auther fault. She said that there are many novel and litreure books are very difficult to understand. So, huge number of prople avoided reading litreture book.
