The chart describes the expenditure of student in United Kingdom during three years from 1996 to 1999. The expenditure was calculated in 8 types such as accommodation, essential travel, non-essential travel, children, course expenditure, entertainment, food and the last was expenditure of other.
The biggest expenditure from the student was in entertainment, in 1996 student spent 26% for entertainment while in 1999 they spent 31% for it. It means that during the period the expenditure on entertainment increased 5%. The second biggest expenditure of student was on accommodation, they spent 23% for it in 1996 but in 1999 the chart showed that the expenditure on accommodation declined 3% than 3 years before, student just spent 20% in 1999.
Expenditure on children was only 2% during the period, it was the lowest expenditure of the student. The second lowest expenditure of student was on non-essential travel, but during 3 years, the expenditure declined 1% from 4% in 1996 to 3% in 1999.
In conclusion, entertainment and accommodation were the major contribution for student expenditure. The student could not control the spending on entertainment, it increased significantly. Student should pay big attention to entertainment spending.
