You are studying for a qualification, and you would like some time off work to complete it.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
Ask for some time off to complete a qualification.
Suggest what you will do later at work if you have time off.
Say how the qualification helps your job or company.
Dear Mr Haji,
I am writing to you about the possibility of taking a fortnight off work in order to complete my implant’s course. I am already aware about the patient’s complaints, whom I could not get around to finish their treatment before the course, but, although I planned carefully, my course has not finished yet, and I will require some more days to do so.
On return, I would endeavor to work more and harder in the clinic to catch up and finish any incomplete treatment I have left behind. I have already spoken to my nurse, Ms Taj, and made arrangements about our incoming work hours.
I realize my temporary absence could be an inconvenience to you and the clinic, but in the long term, we will benefit from my qualification. As you know, Dr Najafi stopped coming to the clinic a while ago, which made the dental team to refer any patient requiring implant to other institutes. By my new expertise, we will be able again at the clinic to meet the needs of such patients and fill up the gap between our clinic and others.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Sincerely,
Aidin Farughi
