The bar chart below gives information about vehicle ownerships in China. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information.
The bar graph illustrates information about the number of Chinese who used vehicles between 1987 and 1999.
Overall, the most amount of vehicles was observed in 1999, whereas the least number was in 1987.
Approximately 300 thousand people used vehicles in 1999 and there was a steady increase and 1 million people were till 1993. The reason for this result was likely to be that having a car was expensive in that time, also people preferred for more common activity such as walking and cycling.
However, in 1995 there was a drastic rise which equal to 3 million people who used their own cars, by following this after two years it is increase to 1 million and reached to about 4.2 million people by 1999. This reflect the fact that people purchased more cars due to the longer distance of workplace or having journey with their family during holiday periods.
