Teacher is the person with whom the children spend more time than the parents.so i feel it is important for the teacher to relate well with the students more than only sharing knowledge. I support my opinion for following reasons.
Firstly, even if teacher has excellent knowledge of subject which she or he is teaching it will go vain if the student cannot understand the subject. This occurs when teacher does not relate with students, and try to know if they understand what is being taught to them. I remember my physics classes when I was in eighth grade, our teacher had a good knowledge and used to solve every problem related to physics from any book. But I never understood the lectures in that subject and was weak in it. Finally at the end of the year I cleared the subject with very less credits.
Other than that, knowledge is not gained only from subjects in class but also from experiences of ones life. If teacher have good intimacy with students all their past experiences can be shared with them and give them a practical knowledge of life. This helps the student to face the problems in his own life journey. My science teacher always shared her experiences like how hard she worked to get a job, and that she never turned back even at tough times when she had less money, tried again and again until she finally got the job she loved to do. After completing the college when finding a job I had difficult time in finding it. I remembered her took inspiration from her and faced the hard times boldly, finally I got a job in a good company.
So in a nutshell, teachers are important part of every child so they should understand them, help them with their problems and give them the spirit to face the world in the future so do all this I strongly believe that they should be in good relation with students.
