There is a variety of arguments as to who is the best teacher for children. Some people may argue that kids learn more while at school; others believe that knowledge is divided by school and parents. In my opinion, it is worthy to weigh the arguments before reaching a conclusion. First of all, parents , sometimes, may have more knowledge than teachers in school should the parents have high levels of education. For example, while some parents may have merely finished the undergraduate programs without further specialization, others may have finished some PhD programs. Thus, these postgraduate parents can assist their pupils much better.
When we take into account the level of education of the educators in high school, we find that most educators in Brazil do not hold a masters degree. Therefore, it is safe to assume that children will be better informed by acquiring knowledge from their parents, rather than their teachers.
However, taking into account the lower class and public schools, many cases can be found of educators that are not trained properly. For instance, consider low class parents without formal tertiary education: in these cases, it is undeniable that teachers will make better educators to the children. Furthermore, looking at the current public school system in Brazil, we find that teachers are less educated than our European counterparts. Then, for those circumstances parents' knowledge would become the best choice for kids.
Moreover, only if children are luck of having tutors in an occasion where she/he may assist children deeply. For example, this happens when parents can pay for only one tutor to have their pupils well-educated and assisted.Thus, certainly the tutors will be the best teacher for kids.
Finally, after weighing the circumstances, it can be said that those lucky children who were born from highly educated parents will be surely well-educated and these parents are the best teachers for them.
