Write a letter to yourself of the year 2070

Dear future me,

Hello me in 2070 - my 67-year-old version. How are you? Are you healthy or are you having some serious problems about your health? Just asking but I know that you will take good care of yourself. Now I have some curiosities about you.

First of all, it’s about your relationships. Are you still in touch with your family and friends? About me, I’m still keeping contact with them. I’ve just entered univesity and in light of Covid pandamic, I have to stay home and study online instead of going to Can Tho and living apart from my family. Besides, I’ve maintained my friendship with high school friends through some social medias and have made some new friends – my classmates. How about you? I’m not sure about you. You’re 67 and somehow I think that you’re still alone, staying in a small house in the countryside and ready to die an old maid. So sad, but if it’s so, I’m not very surprised because you’ve always been afraid of commitment relationships.

Secondly, how about your career? At that age, I think you’ve already retired after many years devoting for Education. I know that we both hesitated when we chose to be a teacher, that was not our dream job. Yet, I don’t think that was a bad idea. Right now, I’m in the second semester of the first year at CTU and I don’t think it’s bad at all. Maybe we didn’t like it at first but years after years we will love the choice that we made because teaching is one of the most noble profession in the world.
This is all about my letter. I hope that it will bring you back some memories of the past and please don’t be too emotional and cry while reading it.
