The chart below give information about travel to and from the UK, and about the most popular countries for UK residents to visit.
The charts below reveal an overview of tourists in UK and vice versa their tendency for visiting other countries in a period of 4-years-old and 1999. Generally, it is clear that visits abroad by UK residents had by far the highest rate in 1999 and they had more tendencies to visit France rather than four other countries.
In the first graph, it is shown that UK visitors and UK abroad visitors had slightly similar number in 1979 around 10 million people annually. However, the trends had increased and had a fluctuation in first of 1984, the number of visits by UK residents had more growth. After that, visits of abroad by UK habitants had a constant rise till 1999 which received its peak in about 55 millions of visits, although the trend for overseas visitors from UK had such a slow rise that from middle 1989 to 1999 the rise had been changed by 10 million only.
In the bar graph, it is obvious that visitors from UK had more interest to visit France with about 11 million people in a year, while Spain visits were slightly lower and near 9 million. USA, Greece and Turkey had lowest visitors from UK by approximately one third of Spain visitors with 3.5, 3, 2 million UK tourists respectively.
To sum up, it could be concluded that as the time had passed UK tourists had grown more than foreign tourists who tend to visit UK.
