According to the first information bar, it is clearly visible that the number of both visits began to grow steadily since the period of 1985-86, but generally visits made by UK residents were always remarkebly more than the given other. Furthermore, the maximum amount of visits to UK by overseas residents-about 27 millions was in 1999, meanwhile the curve reached approximately 52 million.
Having a look at the second graph, it can be noted that more than 10 million out of 52 million UK visitors' choice was France. Other popular countries visited by UK residents were USA, Greece and Turkey in decreasing order.
