The bar charts illustrate attendance levels of people in science and education in developed and developing countries and compare them according to the figures recorded in 1980 and 1990.
It is clear that, during those 10 years, the average years of schooling in developing countries showed a slight rise going from 2.5 to 3 years, while industrialized countries experienced 2 year’s increase.
According to the second bar graph in developed countries, there was only 22 people more (per 1000), who were engaged in science and technical works that the ones in developing countries. That gap widened considerably in ten year’s period getting to 55. Furthermore, given information indicates that, in 1990 expenses on scientific researches went down from $50 billions to $20 billions. Whereas, industrial countries spent $200 billions more money in 1990 compared to expenditures in 1980.
To sum it up, taking all the data into account, we can surely say that, there is quite big gap between to categories of countries in terms of care on science and education, and this gap is extending steadily.
