IELTS task 1
The graph provides information about the steps of purification of sea water in order to make it possible to drink and suitable for daily use.
First of all, at the beginning of this process salt water is taken from sea water and passed through the pretreatment filter, where all impurities are returned to sea. From this, prefiltered water is forced through membrane at very high pressure. At the next stage of this process, seawater concentrate, in other words salt is returned to the sea from another filter. After that, the remaining water goes to the post treatment process, where the water is treated with lime, chlorine and fluoride and goes to the storage. After this phase of the process, the water is finally ready to be sent to integrated water supply system for people to use as drinking water.
To sum up, water purification means not only filtration, but also adding of some chemical element. This ends my report.
