Family is the core institution that glues a group of people together. However, it seems that families are no longer as intimate as they were previously. In my point of view, multifaceted causes are liable for this fate.
First and foremost, life becomes more complicated. Living standards and costs have soared dramatically, leaving people with no choice but to increase their income in order to live a better lifestyle. Henceforth, employees are urged to place a greater emphasis on their career development, both in terms of earning their daily bread and moving up the career ladder. The group of professionals that spend the most of their time in their companies is a good example of this. As a result of this rationale, they have tiny opportunity to spend quality time with family members, which leads to the importance of familial relationships gradually fading from their minds.
In addition, the availability of numerous types of recreational facilities diverts individuals' attention away from conversations with others as their spare time is frequently spent being glued on television, surfing the Internet, or playing video games. They eventually lose interest in connecting with their relatives. Furthermore, there is a propensity to feel self-sufficient. That is to say, offspring believe they are capable of addressing their difficulties by themselves. Even when they are unable to address their situation, they lean on their buddies, therefore, there is less sharing among the family members.
In conclusion, it is apparent that a rigorous work schedule is an impediment to developing deep ties with family. All I want to say is that we should make every effort to maintain a harmonious family relationship in order to live a more balanced existence.
