Some say that it would be better if the majority of employees worked from home instead of traveling to a work place every day.Do you think the advantages of working from home outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays there are huge traffic jams in several mega cities especially in the rush hours and the government have to adopt several solutions to tackle this problem. Working from home instead of traveling to a workplace as a commuter is easiest solution to reduce the amount of traffic at big cities. It is clear that this strategy has several positive and negative impacts that should be taken into account by the government.

On the one hand, when people are allowed to work from home little by little the volume of traffic would be declined which will eventually lead to reducing both voice pollution and air pollution. More over, they do not worry their children how spend their time when they work since they can devote part of their time with them. Thanks to this strategy employees can be relax and being in touch with their families which would not be the case if they had to work at their workplace most of the time.

For instance, in developed countries, many people are under tremendous pressure to work from early in the morning to late at night. They do not have time to spend with their children and family while through this strategy they can bring their duty and job at home and be able to spend more time with their relatives.

On the other hand, when people transfer their job desks to their home sooner and later they change their method of life since this change impact on their life. More over, it can not be overlooked that they can not concentrate on their work carefully because they are expected to devote their time with their families. Furthermore, in some cases, they need to guide as regards their jobs by their supervisors and bosses which would never happen if they want to stay at home.

Not only do companies run into problems by adopting this strategy but their employees also face with several problems. This strategy might have had negative impact on company’s productivity and profits in some cases and make irreversible damage for both.

In conclusion, I think that although there are some disadvantages for this strategy, in general the advantages of working from home outweigh the disadvantages. There is ample evidence to prove this fact that the more motivation, the more profits for company. When people work from home, their motivation increases ten times more than when they work at workplaces.
