writing task 1
The chart provides information about the variations in the number of people choosing additional full-time and part-time British education in three periods, according to their gender. As it can be seen, the number of men and women is given in thousands. There are two types of education described in this diagram, where the amount of students taking full-time education substantially outweighs the numbers of part-time education applicants.
If we look at full-time education, the amount of male students was erratic during three periods fluctuating from 1000 to 850 and finally ending the decade up at approximately 900 thousands. As regards to women in full-time education, the numbers were increasing considerably in each decade. The figures plummeted from 750 in the first period to nearly 1100 in 1990/91.
Part time-education has far lower number of women and men than full-time education. Nevertheless a gradual rise can be noticed in both male and female numbers. In the last decade the amount of students more than doubled, reaching a peak of 200 thousand. This ends my report.
