The first table provides information attained from a survey with cross section of 10,000 sampled people regarding the frequency of travelling abroad conducted by British between 1994 and 1998. Then, the second chart compares the destination areas of that visits in the same period.

In general, the number of visits to abroad tend to experience increase during the pointed years and holiday was the main reason for it. Besides, Western Europe was the most favorite destination through those four years.

A more detailed look at the graph reveals that from 1994 to 1998, approximately 60%-75% UK citizens who travelled to abroad was for holiday. The travellers who went overseas for business and for visiting to friends and relatives had slight difference number. As informed earlier, the number of people who conducted such kind of travelling tended to inclined during the period. Holiday and visiting friends and relatives purpose in 1995 were the exceptions.

Furthermore, form 1994 to 1998, the British visitors of Western Europe always increased. However, the same visitors of North America decreased by 5. In addition, around 80% travellers visited Western Europe during those years.
