Essay topics:

The bar chart below gives information about five countries spending habits of shopping on consumer goods in 2012. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart illustrates how much money four different countries, namely Belguim, Spain, Australia, and Britain, spent on six consumer products in 2012.
It is clear that while Britain was the biggest spender in all six categories among the nation compared in the bar chart, the opposite was true for Belguim. It is also noticeable that the amount of money allocated for toys, books, and cameras by these four nations was far higher than that of the remaining products.
In 2010, Britons spent a larger amount of money on toys, at around 168 thousand pounds, and cameras, at exactly 170 thousand pounds than the other products, as compared to that of Australians, at 168 and 165 thousand pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, outdoor game accessories gain the least popularity in Australia, at a shy of 145 thousand pounds, which was 10 thousand pounds lower than the figure of Britain, at over 155 thousand pounds.
Turning to the remaining two countries, while toys and cameras were the most popular consumer goods in Spain, at around 155 thousand pounds each, the similar trend could be seen for outdoor game accessories in Belguim, at approximately 150 thousand pounds. By contrast, 145 thousand pounds was distributed to buy books in Belguim, which was the least spent product in this country, Spain paid the least attention to console games, at 150 thousand pounds.
