Essay topics:

The bar chart below give information about five countries spending habits of shopping on consumer goods in 2012. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The chart illustrates the amount spent in five countries on six consumer products, namely console games, outdoor game accessories, cosmetics, books, toys and cameras in 2012.

In general, what stands out from the graph is that Britain was the country which spent the most money on all six categories than those in the three other countries. In addition, in all 6 figures, the same amount of spending of consumers in Spain could be seen in 2012.

About the console games, the amount of money which Britain citizens paid for it was the highest, at more than 155 pounds. In the meantime, the budget for console games in Spain was lower. The figures for those in Belgium were nearly the same as in Austria, at about 145 pounds, which were also the lowest number.

The spending for outdoor game accessories and cosmetics in Austria could be seen as the lowest, at 146 and 149 pounds respectively. The expenditures on toys in Belgium and Austria were exactly the same, at about 155. The figure for cameras in Britain was twice as high as that for Belgium, 170 compared to 145.
