The provided graph compares the proportion of Australian men and women in six age groups who did regular physical actively in 2010.
Overall, the number of exercising women was more than men. It is also clear to see that women who were in the 45 to 54 age group accounted for the highest percentage while 35 to 44 years old men did the least physical activity.
In the 15 to 24 age groups, 52.8 % of Australian men did exercise regularly, whereas only 47.7 % of women did regular physical activity. However, men who were between 25 to 64 years old were less active than women in the same age group. Comparing with 52.5 % of women, only 39.5 % of men in the 34 to 44 age group did exercise regularly, respectively.
The proportion of women experienced a slight increase to 53 % and the percentage of men increased steadily to 45.1 % in the 55 to 64 age group. In the elder group (65 and over), the percentages of men and women who did regular physical were equivalent, at approximately 47%.
