The graph illustrates the difference in physical activity among Australian people of two different genders and various groups of age in 2010.
Overall, the number of women who did physical exercise was higher than that of men most of the time. Furthermore, it was also observed that men aged 15 to 24 and women aged 45 to 54 were involved more often in this kind of sport than other groups.
Primarily, it could be seen that 15-to-24-year-old boys exercised more than girls of the same age, with about 52.8% and 47.7% respectively. Subsequently, the figure for males decreased to 42.2% between the ages of 25 and 34, but the number increased for women of the same group.
For people aged 35 to 54, women participated more in this form of sport, ranging from 52.5% to 53.3%, while men witnessed lower numbers, ranging from 39.5% to 43.1%. Similarly, 45-to-54-year-old females exercised more regularly than men, at 53% and 45.1% respectively. Finally, people over 65 years old in both genders had almost the same figures, at roughly 47%.
