The bar chart below shows the precentage of money invested in mutual funds, stocks and bonds by five different age groups. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons ehre relevant.

The chart represents the proportion of money invested by five age groups in three different categories (mutual funds, stocks and bonds). In general, majority of the age groups have invested the most amount in stocks except the people older than or equal to 60 years, for whom the stocks was not a popular option.

A fluctuation in the investment of mutual funds was observed for the first four age groups which topped off by the last group. Proportion of investment made by youngsters was around 10% while the two succeeding adult groups invested around 20 - 25% in mutual funds followed by the third age group which increased the amount to 32% and then the proportion observed a significant rise to 65% among the senior citizens. First two groups invested marginally in stocks while the others had reduced their investments which declined 10% by the last group.

Interestingly, investments in bond was quite obscure for all the five age groups which vacillated a lot. Youngsters preferred bonds commensurate to stocks contrasting to the remaining groups which showed little interest in them. It is evident that the remaining groups were conservative and invested around 20 – 28%.
