The graph above illustrates five categories, on which the USA, Canada, UK and Japan spent their money in 2009. Five categories are Food, Housing, Transportation, Health care and Clothing. At first glance, it can be noticed that food, housing and transportation are three main spheres, while health care and clothing are less funded.
Japan and UK spent about 42% of the total amount on food in total, 20 and 22% respectively. Canada and the US's expenditure accounted for about 29% in total. The United states is the country that spent more money on housing, at roughly 25%. United Kingdom had spent about 2% less, standing at 23%. Canada and Japan funded that sector less than previous two, at just above 20% each.
Canada had spent exactly 20% on transportation, which is the highest index for all 4 presented countries. Then stands the US, at just below 20 per cent. Unlike these two governments, UK and Japan had spent about 25% in total. The least funded sectors are health care and clothing. Canada and Japan spent equal amount of money on health care, while the US and UK spent approximately 15% in total. The US and Japan spent almost equally on clothing, at just 4 and 5% respectively. Canada and UK spent 10% in total.
