Overall, it is evident that the population of Latin America was always highest compared to other parts of the world. Besides, the whole world experienced an upward trend over a given period.

Starting at 10% in 1950, the proportion of people residing in Africa increased tremendously to nearly 40% in 2000. While the figure of Asia in the initial year slightly higher than that of Africa was about 11%, there was a soar to the same number of Africa in 2000. Meanwhile, Africa's population is expected to rise to around 50% in 2030, that of Asia is forecasted to grow larger than Africa which is approximately 55%.

Whereas the statistics of Latin America was about 42% in 1950, that of the whole world just accounted for 30%. There was a jump to 70% in the population of Latin America during the next 50 years before expecting to hit a peak of 80% in the final year. Similarly, the whole world is expected to see a growth from less than 50% in 2000 to 60% in 2023.
