The given bar chart compares the European young people's anticipations for change in five areas, namely health, air quality, water quality, food quality, and people communications, in 20 years' time.
Overall, it is evident that only the people communication category shows an expectation for improvement from the majority of the young. In addition, air quality has the lowest improving prospect.
Regarding the categories of better chance for improvement, more than half of European young people, roughly 62% to be exact, believe people communication is likely to become better in the next 20 years. A similar expectation can be seen in food quality since its prospect is second only to that of people communication, with almost 50% expecting enhancement.
In terms of the three remaining categories, there is approximately 60% disbelief in better changes in water quality and health. Meanwhile, it is unlikely among the European young people that air quality will register any positive alterations in the following 20 years, which is reported that just over 20% expect positive differences.
