Essay topics:

The bar chart shows the participation of children in selected leisure activities in Australia.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The graph gives and information about how many people aged 5 to 14 take part in 5 different activities in Australia.
It can be seen that boys participate more than girls do. But only one exception is art and craft, in that 3 of 5 girls spend their time free time compared to 2 of 5 boys.

By far the most common entertainment for all girls and boys is watching television and videos, while skateboarding and rollerblading is least popular, is only over 40 and 30 percent respectively. Moreover, the computer game is closely followed by television in popularity among children ( 80 of boys and 60 percent of girls).
The same proportion of girls take part in riding a bicycle and this is 10 percent less than a percentage of boys.

To conclude, a general trend is that boys’ participation in activities more than girls’, even in a few event their involvement is dominant or equal.
