The bar graph indicates the proportion of kids who learn to play four types of instruments, namely piano, guitar, violin, and drums, from 2005 to 2015. Overall, the percentage of children learning to play the piano, guitar, and drums increased over the given period, while the opposite was true for the violin. The guitar was the most popular instrument for kids at the end of the period.
In 2005, around 10% of students chose to study piano, guitar and violin, while half of this number opted for drums. In 2010, the percentage of children studying piano and guitar rose by about 7%, while the figures for violin and drums remained unchanged.
Guitar was the most popular choice for children to study in 2015, accounting for nearly 38% of all students.Similarly, the figure for piano also surged to about 37%, and the figure for drums almost doubled, rising to 10%. By contrast, the violin was the least popular choice for children, with the figure falling by half, to 5%.
