Essay topics:

The bar graph below shows the average housing costs in three different regions for two different areas. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting in the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar graph shows the average cost of housing in rural, urban and suburban areas in 2005 and 2015. Units are measured in dollars.
Overall, the average housing cost for urban and suburban areas is higher than rural areas for 2005 and 2015. They rose significantly in all three regions in the period shown in the bar graph. However, the housing costs for all three areas were different for the entire period.
It can be observed from the bar graph a significant difference between the average housing cost in all three areas in 2005 and 2015. In 2005, the average housing cost for urban was around 150,000, and for suburban areas, it was around 100,000, whereas the lowest was 75,000 for rural areas. Thus, a difference of 75,000 existed between the cost of the urban area and rural area in 2005. But the difference in 2015 amounted to 175,000 in 2015, which was significantly greater than in 2005. Thus, the average housing cost in urban areas is rising at a much higher rate than in rural areas.
Housing costs rose for all three areas in 2005 and 2015. The average price for rural areas increased from 75,000 to 125,000. Average urban areas cost almost doubled, going from 150,000 to 300,000. Also, the average housing costs for suburban areas elevated from 100,000 to 275,000, virtually tripling in values.
