The bar graph shows the average cost of housing in rural, urban and suburban areas in 2005 and 2015. Units are measured in dollars.
Overall, the average housing cost for urban and suburban areas is higher than rural areas for the years 2005 and 2015. The average prices rose significantly in all three areas for the time period depicted by the bar graph and it varies three areas for the entire timeline.
A significant difference is observed for average housing cost in all three areas in 2005 and 2015. For the year 2005, the average housing cost for urban areas and suburban areas was around $150,000 and $100,000 respectively. While the lowest $75,000 for rural areas. A difference of $75,000 existed between cost of urban area and rural area in 2005. But the difference significantly increased in 2015. Thus, it can be observed that the average housing cost urban areas are rising at much higher rate than rural areas.
Housing costs rose for all three areas in 2005 and 2015. The average cost for rural areas rose from $75,000 to $125,000. The average cost of urban areas almost doubled and the average housing costs for suburban areas elevated from $100,000 to $275,000, that is almost tripling in values.
