The above chart illustrates the proportions of various types of digital games ( mobile phone games, online games, console games and handheld games) that sold internationally from 2000 to 2006. The sales are measured by billion dollars.
Overall, it is evident that handheld games was the most common type of games. Online games and mobile phone games were increased from the beginning unto 2006. By the way, 2006 was the year that provided sales than other particular years.
In 2000, console games was sold approximately 6 billion dollars and started to decline up to 2 billion dollars by 2006. On the other hand, handheld games sold around 11 billion dollars in 2006 and rose up to 17 billion dollars by 2006. Online games started to sell from 2001 ( 1 billion dollars) but eventually it was ended selling 10 billion sales by 2006. Even more, mobile pones started to sale from 2002 around 2 billion dollars and the peek of mobile phones was 7 billion dollars. Both mobile phones and online games were sold same amount of sales in 2002 and 2004, respectively.
