British students speak other languages
The provided pie charts indicate the percentage of students from one England university who could speak languages other than English in two years of 2000 and 2010.
It is clear that the rate of British students speaking Spanish only was always highest in two research years. Additionally, there were the increasing trends in most of the proportion of Brithish learners at that university who were able to speak other languages.
In 2000, 20% British students were impossible to speak any language in addition to English, whereas this figure halved after a period of 10 years. Besides, the percentage of students from Britain at this university speaking French only and another language were equal, at 15% in 2000. And these two figures also witnessed a slight rise in 2010 to 10% and 20% respectively.
The British students who could only speak Spanish accounted for an impressive percentage, at 30% in 2000. And this figure continued to go up slightly to 35% in 2010. While the proportion of British students speaking German only still remained at the same of 10% in 2010, the figure for more than another language increased little from 10% to 15%.
