The provided bar chart gives the information about the proportion of British adults making use of Internet in term of six various age groups between 2003 and 2006.
It is clear that the younger adults in UK are, the more time they would like to spend on Internet. Additionally, most of the rate of Internet users were always lowest in 2003.
In 15-25 age group, there were approximately 4.3% of UK adults using Internet in 2003 and this figure witnessed a slight rise to reach the peak of 4.5% in 2005 before falling back to the 2005 percentage in the last year of research period. The proportion of Internet users aged 25-35 years old was roughly 4.2% in 2003 and this figure went up slightly to 4.3% and still remained unchanged at the same rate in three following years.
The proportion of British adults in 35-45, 45-55 and 55-65 groups using Internet experienced the same pattern which was the consistent increase during four research years. These figures peaked at about 3.7%, 2.7% and 1.8% respectively in 2006. Especially, the UK people aged 65 and above did not have demand of use Internet in 2003. And the proportion of using Internet of this age group was just under 0.5% from 2004 to 2006.
