The chart and table below show customer satisfaction levels in the US with airlines and aspects of air travel in 1999, 2000 and 2007.
The bar graph and tabular data delineate how satisfied the people were with the airline service provided in the US between 1999 and 2007.
First of all, the graph indicates that the general satisfaction levels rose slightly from 65% in 1999 to 72% in 2007, while the percentage of dissatisfied customers alleviated to 24% from 32% during the same period.
According to the table, customers were most satisfied with the politeness of the airline's staff while they were the least satisfied with the seating. Data period for 2007 depicts that only 47% of travellers felt the seats were comfortable. In contrast, satisfaction with staff remained fairly stable at about 90% over the eight-year period and rose in the case of schedules from 75% to 79% for the next year which remained the same in 2007. Interestingly, the biggest increase in satisfaction was in connection with ticket prices, where figures rose by 20% during the period (45% to 65% respectively)
Overall, it can be seen that levels of satisfaction were quite high throughout the period and augmented even more. Also, customers were the most satisfied with the service from the staff.
