A glimpse at the bar chart given unfolds the sales of the three entertainment commodities, namely, game software, DVD/Video and CDs across the globe over a four-year period from 2000 to 2003.

However, from that time onwards, while audio recording’s trades slipped gently, the market of its digital video counterpart expanded consistently. Subsequently, the sales of both products were practically identical at about 30 billion by the end of the period.
With regard to game software’s global sales, it constituted just marginally over 10 billion in 2000, the lowest sales among the three items mentioned in the chart. Afterwards, the game application market witnessed a stable rise from 2000 to 2002, at which point where its sales remained constant at 18 billion, reaching about two third that of the CDs.
Overall, the disparity among the sales of the three entertainment products shrank significantly by the end of the period. CD’s worldwide transactions, however, persistently remained the most prevailed item among the three products compared.
