Overall, there was a significant increase in the sales of game software and DVD/video over the period 3-year. Besides, in spite of some slight decrease, cds sales were always the item having highest figure during this period.

In 2000, cds sales were sold greater than the other two products. it totaled $35 billion, compared with $13 billion and $19 billion for the game software and the DVD/video. In the following years, the global sales of the game software saw a steady grew to $18 billion in 2002. this figure was lower than that of the DVD/video sale which was rose close to $27 billion at the same time.

In contrast, the sales of cds tend to decline slightly during shown. From $35 billion in the beginning point, it fell to $31 billion in 2003 but still the highest sale among three items. In that year, the figure for the game software and the DVD/video continued to increase, finishing at $19 billion and over $30 billion respectively.
