Overall, it can be seen from the chart that there was an upward trend in the number of CDs and games software sold all over the world. Additionally, the figure for DVDs underwent a rapid growth.
In 2000, the CDs sales were the highest with almost 35 billion dollars and much greater than the other 2 items. Moreover, the software for games and CDs stood respectively at approximately $12 billion and $16 billion. In 2001, the selling of games software and CDs rose slightly 5 billion dollars, while the figures for videos witnessed a small drop.
In 2002, the revenue for CDs still fell gradually and experienced a small increase in 2003. During the last 2 years in the given period, the total money that earned from games softwares was level off at nearly 15 billion dollars. Furthermore, the profits from DVDs had a dramatic growth with 10 billion dollars in 2 years.
