Looking first at the category of food, the money that spent on this feature declined significantly from 35% of weekly income to about 17%. Similarly, the spending on fuel and power, clothing and footwear, and personal goods also witnessed a downward trend when comparing the 2 years of 1968 and 2018.
On the contrary, the opposite was true for categories of housing, transport, and especially leisure activity·During the period of time, the normally weekly spending in these types increased dramatically.
